REHABILITATION OF BIYO ADO SHALLOW WELL
Biyo Ado is small village located 45 km north east from Eyl district of Nugaal region. It is surrounded by mountains and its population was estimated between 100-150 HH with seasonal movements from in and out due to pastoralists searching for pasture and water for their herds. The economy of Biyo Ado depends on livestock rearing, farming and small and medium scale businesses activities like shops, stores and tea cafes, and few humanitarian aid through Cash and food assistance. The people of this village were affected by different challenges including floods destroyed the agricultural farms during the last raining season. The effect of the covid-19 also affected the residents of Biyo Ado and surrounding villages as the selling price of their livestock products prices goes down. The village has health post and primary school and animal health center supported by SomRep.
Biyo Ado village residents highly need rehabilitation of one of the two most important Shallow well. The shallow well was affected by floods and need to rehabilitate the shallow well. The well need to remove debris and waste material from the well, dispose removed material from the well to 50m away. It also require to Construct a reinforced concrete manhole for the gate of the shallow well, renovate minor cracks on the wall of the well. Excavate a linear trench of 0.6 deep, 0.2wide and 140m long for both pipes and solar cable from shallow well to solar site. ACF developed Bill of Quantity to rehabilitate Biyo Ado shallow well costing project value of $5,285. Biyo Ado community are expected to raise $2,240 of contributions to cover the estimation cost of Shallow Rehabilitation with allocated matching fund of $3,045 and a matching fund from Restore project donor. Through joint consultation meeting the community with the district administration appointed the fundraising committee of 5 members to carry out the fundraising campaign of the Rehabilitation of the shallow well project.
The Project will use the Bulshokaab platform to track the transactions of the bank accounts and contributions from community members and the diaspora. Through Bulshokaab, members of the public will be able to access these financial transactions by visiting www.Bulshokaab.com.

Geedisooy is a village located 10km west of Qansahdhere town. It is mainly inhabited by agro-pastoral people who mainly grow vegetables and rare animals. The village is the home of approximately 150-250 Households.

Horgoyte is a small village located 8km east of Qansahdhere town. It is mainly inhabited by agro-pastoral people who mainly grow vegetables and rare animals. The village is the home of approximately 100-200 Households.
Shiidle is a small village within Hudur town. The villagers live next to Hudur air strip which makes it difficult to access water especially on busy flight days as they are banned from crossing over.
Kheyr Cabdile village is a birds eye away from Hudur town. You can see the faded site of the town from the village where most of the villagers are agro-pastoralists.
