Construction of Yagoori Hospital Fencing- Phase 2
Yagoori is a village located 57km west of Lasanod. Agro-pastoralism is the main livelihood activity practiced, with camels and shoats being the main livestock kept. It’s the home of approximately 1200–1500 HHs. ADRA developed a community action adaptation plan with documents from 12 villages, including Yagoori. One of the main disasters Yagoori faces is drought and its effects, such as water shortages. Yagoori is a growing village since a huge number of pastoralists reside there every month. One of the recent water challenges is the lack of sufficient water tanks in the village. With the help of the SIDA II project under the SomReP consortium, the community and ADRA have agreed the
Yagoori Hospital and its surrounding neighbors need to construct an elevated water tank through crowd-funding.
Tuulo Samokaab is small village situated 35km west of Lasanod. It is a home for approximately 400 households. The livelihood source of this community is depending on the livestock; particularly camels and shoats.
