CONSTRUCTION OF JARAN TORAGE CIRCULAR WATER TANK (Acc-002)

Jaran Village lies at East of Afgoye town about 11 KM away. The current population of Jaran village is approximately estimated up to 175 households, the main livelihood source of Jaran villagers depend in agriculture, livestock keeping, labour work at nearby farms. Few among the village communities operate small shops within the village to earn their income. The basic service infrastructures available in Jaran village include borehole, water points, and canals for irrigation and feeder roads, the villages lack infrastructures such as schools, health centers and markets. Through community participatory approach method focus group discussion was organized at village level with aim of developing CAAP understanding wealth ranking among the communities. The discussion was participated by village development committees and other community members such as religious leaders, women and youth groups within the village to able count their voice and perceptions on vulnerability while describing very poor, poor, and medium and better off classes among the communities in the village. The Project will use the Bulshokaab platform to track the transactions of the bank accounts and contributions from community members and the diaspora. Through Bulshokaab, members of the public will be able to access these financial transactions by visiting www.Bulshokaab.com. Community contributions amounting to $9,558 are expected to contribute by the residents of Jaran and its diaspora.
