WADAJIR ROAD REHABILITATION
Wadajir village is located about 3 KMs southwest of Baidoa town, with its settlement along the main road via to Makude Village of Bay region Somalia. It borders ADC cluster to the south, Howlwadag village to the west, to the north Horsed Village and to the east Isha Village. The communities are per urban with an estimate of 1,285 households with a vast land of Arabta farming. In this village farming plays the main livelihood component depending on the greatness of the rainfall during Deyr (autumn) and Gu (Spring) rain seasons while livestock complements. Wadajir village has estimated households of 1,285 as per the information from the village leaders and village committee who participated during the PRA procedure. Fifteen people have attended the PRA process during field days in Wadajir, the participants were women and men, the communities explained that most of the community were busy in casual labor and planting as it was planting time during the PRA data collection. (See annex1 the list of the participants)
The villagers will also donate in-kind contributions such as materials like stone, cement, sand and labor force. Wadajir community selected the project committee of 9 members of fundraising committee from Business people, Youth, Women and religious man.
The Project will use the Bulshokaab platform to track the transactions of the bank accounts and contributions from community members and the diaspora. Through Bulshokaab, members of the public will be able to access these financial transactions by visiting www.Bulshokaab.com. Community contributions amounting to $8,250 are expected to contribute by the residents of Wadajir and its diaspora.
Tuulo Samokaab is small village situated 35km west of Lasanod. It is a home for approximately 400 households. The livelihood source of this community is depending on the livestock; particularly camels and shoats.
