Street Light Installation of Tuulo Samo-kaab Village
Tuulo Samokaab is small village situated 35km west of Lasanod. It is a home for approximately 400 households. The livelihood source of this community is depending on the livestock; particularly camels and shoats. The main employment source is merchandises traders who are the largest job share providers, while there is no other employment source locally available. This village Diaspora makes a major contribution to the village economy and livelihoods through participation in recovery and reconstruction efforts. Without this support, the economy of the country would have collapsed long ago.
There is also strong relationship between locals and diaspora according to the community recovery plans which led that the basic social services are highly going on normal as well. There is also very active VDC members who always share with their community about the CAAPs information and available resources in the village; they mobilize their community to participate in the contribution of community projects. In last CAAPs review, the community selected this project of this installation of street light project to be as first priority which ADRA funded 75% of the total budget and where 25% will be contributed by community. Then, the VDC mobilized their local people and diaspora to contribute this community project where diaspora have already started their contributions.
